OTHER STATE UNIVERSITY SYSTEMS
Each state is like the California examples above, which can have separate platforms for their “University of” and their “State University” systems. For example, the State University of New York (SUNY) has their own platform. But some public universities can be applied to via the CMMAPP.
The fewer platforms you have to navigate, the easier it will be to stay organized. My advice is usually to do as many schools as you can on the CMMAPP.

INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL PLATFORMS
While rare, some schools have their own one-off platform that is for their one institution only.

PORTFOLIO & SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS PLATFORMS
For visual and performing arts applicants, please keep in mind that your portfolio and supplemental materials will be submitted via special apps online, such as SlideRoom, made to collect images, writing, videos, or other kinds of materials.
Usually within 24-48 hours of receiving your application, a school will send you a link to the portfolio submission app, and you will need to create your account to begin uploading your materials.
